The Institute grants these Awards to projects, ideas, and products that significantly improve energy productivity and resource use in IT.<\/p>\n<p>The Awards are open to applicants across the world; each case study is carefully judged by a committee of independent experts. Award winners will be honoured at the high-profile Uptime Institute Symposium in Santa Clara, CA in May 2011.<\/p>\n<p>A principal objective of the GEIT Awards is to educate the data centre and IT industries in effective ways to reduce energy consumption by highlighting innovation and best practices.
