The Code of Conduct is a voluntary initiative, managed by the JRC, which sets ambitious voluntary standards for companies willing to participate (Participants). The Code of Conduct was established in response to increasing energy consumption in data centres and the need to reduce the related environmental, economic and energy supply security impacts. The aim of the Code is to inform and stimulate data centre operators and owners to reduce energy consumption in a cost-effective manner without hampering the mission critical function of all data centres. The Code aims to achieve this by improving understanding of energy demand within the data centre sector, raising awareness, and recommending energy efficient best practice and targets.\n\nThe Code of Conduct remains a voluntary initiative aimed to bring interested stakeholders together, including the coordination of other similar activities by manufacturers, vendors, consultants and utilities. Parties signing up will be expected to follow the intent of this Code and abide by a set of agreed voluntary commitments.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The latest version (2022) of the European Code of Conduct for Data Centre Energy Efficiency Best Practices document has now been published and can be freely download from the following location: 2022 Best Practice Guidelines for the EU Code of Conduct on Data Centre Energy Efficiency The Best Practices document is updated annually following a [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":7741,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[20,39],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-7739","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-articles","category-news"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7739","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/7"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=7739"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7739\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/7741"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=7739"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=7739"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.future-tech.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=7739"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
